Storm

After voting this morning I went into the garden to photograph the Red Hot Pokers which are just beginning to flower. On my way back there was Storm sitting on the front steps, so couldn't resist getting a few shots of her.

She will not look at the camera and seems uncomfortable having her photograph taken.

But she is beautiful.

Walk in the Green Belt

I went for a walk with Dianne and Storm in the Green Belt this morning - an overwhelmingly beautiful place. I've often heard people mention it but this is the first time for me.
Didn't take the camera, I was advised not to, if you live in SA you'll know why. All the same I wish I had - such beauty.

Storm loved it, she splashed in the river and then promptly sat down in the water. Dianne had her cell phone and took some photogaphs .... beautiful trees wearing autumn colours overhanging the stream, flowers growing on the banks - just wild and gorgeous.
Being Saturday there were many people there walking their dogs and little children riding bycycles - so it would have been safe.
We will go again and I will take the camera ... today would have been so perfect, no sun and the light was wonderful.

I managed to get these studies of Janet by cropping her from the photograph with Daphne - then trying different colour tones.

I would like to have them printed for Daphne for when I next see her. Wonder if she would like all three??
