I found this statue of Senator Martinus Barbaros most lifelike - just look at his cloak, the way he is holding it - could be material. just had to take a few picures.
Here in Germany the status are protected with a very thin netting, you cant see unless very close up ~ this stops the birds from sitting on them and leaving mess behind....
