Green Eyes

The beautiful green eyes certainly DO have it here! I hope you are having a wonderful time in Germany Lolipop - miss you!
Seems most of the Family is away in far places now. I wish all of you a very Happy New Year filled with Joy and Peace .... and lots of exciting things of course.

Lots of love.

Photograph

Do you think can give this to Cec for Christmas Marcelle?
She is rather "arty" and likes off beat things.
I've converted from colour to B&W - and the Blur of course!!!
Are you getting my comments on your Photography Blog? I mentioned that Luke looks like Uncle Paddy in the shot with Eden and Caleb. When Uncle Paddy was a young man of course.

The flash popped up when I took this in Portrait mode.
I didn't much like the colours and even though I tried corrcting them - they still weren't right.
So tried soft focus
a warmish B/W and Sepia.
Both seem good, its just a matter of preference.

My gorgeous niece with her amzing little grand daughter.

This is my beautiful great niece who so graciously posed for these photographs.

I was trying my new camera and she looks stunning in these photographs.

This is for you Marcelle! How was the Family Shoot with Jo-Ann? I'm really looking forward to seeing the photos - keep looking on FB but nothing yet. Have you had a peek at them? I know Jo-Ann is very busy doing all her editing, so maybe we should be patient.

Haven't taken any more pics as yet, I need a model. I did ask Dianne (David's Ex girlfriend) to pose for me some time ago so I'll get in touch with her soon.

Love the photos you have taken of Daniella, they're gorgeous.

Love you xxx

Cameras

I'm sure Jo-Ann's camera is a beauty - Jasmine Star (international wedding photographer) has one, I subscribe to her blog , her photographs are amazing, you should hava a look.
Alan has a friend who has the D7 and that is pretty amazing too.

Waiting with great excitement to see Jo-Ann's pics of the Family!!

By the way - even comments take ages - that's why I've answered you in a new blog!!

First images with new Camera

Mackro - raindrops on this leaf.

Lucy - she's the one who fights with Lulu Belle - getting a bit better now, still growl and Looook at each other.
Really must get over themselves!!
Taken on P mode

I spent yesterday afternoon installing the software that came with the camera before I was able to transfer photographs to the computer.
This one was taken on Macro
was interested to see that it picked up the definition on the leaves and threw the background out of focus.
Why do pics take so long to upload on this blog?? Maybe its my computer?

Cameras

Thanks Marcelle, I know I'm going to love it too!
There is another lens that belongs to the old Canon ... 28-80mm, I"m sure you have one - good for portraits. Lots of experimenting to do!
We are going into Orms this morning to get a protective lens and a lens hood.

How are you feeling today? I'm sure Cathy was able to help you. Let me know how you are doing.

Lots of love to Princess Daniella and extremely beautiful Princess Amber xxx

I'm hoping this is the "right' blog!!!
Tried earlier and it went straight to the 'other' one.
Anyway this is Storm - wrote about her in the other one so not going to repeat except to say that she is very intelligent and a highly trained gundog - Springer Spaniel, and hates being photographed. I managed to get this one as she was so busy watching birds she didn't notice.
She had a haircut today - don't think she's very happy about it, came back looking very abashed, tail between legs etc.
Less hair on the carpets I say - yipee!!

Storm

Well I seem to be on the right page now Marcelle, actually sent myself a feed so it should be OK.
This is Storm our Springer Spaniel - she is a highly trained gundog, so highly trained that Alan had to take lessons to keep up with her!!
She really is beautiful and very intelligent. Strangely she doesn't like being photographed. Here she was so engrossed watching birds that she didn't notice. But if she has to pose for you .....
Last night she got herself lost - rushed out to the car with Tequi when Alan got home from the Crankhandle Club and by the time he had put the car away she had disappeared.
We got the car out again and drove slowly round our area up and down every street but no sign of her, must have spent an hour looking for her. Eventually we had to give and leave the front gate open for her. We heard her crying at the front door at about 2am. What a relief!!! Today she is having a haircut, she has got rather wooly and curly and leaves a lot of hair on the carpet! Will take a photograph of the new haircut whether she likes it or not!

OK, so here I am again .... great excitement, have just got home and unpacked my NEW CAMERA !! Canon 500d I've been thinking about it for ages and it was a toss up between the Nikon 3100 and the Canon. Of course my niece has a Canon and that swayed me somewhat - and another thing in its favour - we have a Canon 80 - 200 lens which belongs to the roll film Canon - AND IT FITS!!!
I spent hours on the Net yesterday checking both cameras and got totally confused.
Charging the battery now - can't wait to try it. It came with a bag, mini tripod, lenspen and a 8GB card.
Keeping my Panasonic Lumix as it takes great Pics.

Not posting for a while - too complicated, sometimes just cannot get into this blog and who cares anyway!!!

Sunday, November 28, 2010

Pepper the 10 week old kitten on the left.
Lulu Belle
on the right,looking angelic.

Poppet posing so beautifully.

Lulu Belle in her favourite place in the tree in our back patio. This was taken with my Panasonic Lumix, in fact they all were.

I love this camera, it looks like a SLR with an optical zoom 12+. Very compact and fits beautifully into my handbag.

Can't tell you what an effort it was to get myself going today... I've had a blasted cold for the last two days, yesterday I was really out of it entirely, hardly recognised myself when I looked in the mirror ... EeeK!!! But just no energy to do anything about it. Also struggling to get into this blog without going through Picasa's Blog this.
Can't get into Marcy's blog either because it asks me for user name and password, so when I enter them it tells me I'm wrong!! Can't comment on her photographs either for the same reason ... grrr
Anyway this morning I decided to do something about myself as I'm feeling a tad better - jumped into a lovely scented bath and washed my hair - a great start, well on the road to recovery.
