Gayla brought me these beautiful roses when she came to see me last week.

They looked lovely in front of the fireplace and also on the table while watching the Tennis.

All taken Manual!

Alan's Studio Before and After ..... we had a chest deep freezer in here which developed a leak and the floor over time started collapsing. Alan and David took it up - what a job! The boards were rotten and the joists too ( the beams that support the floor) and replaced the boards.

Did a very good job don't you think? Then we had it sanded and sealed.

Three more of Lauryn - I think the best are now on this blog. Camera and computer have been sorted out, had to have two drivers installed, so computer recognises the camera.

Chilling out today. Sorry Lols doesn't feel like posing for you - the wonderful shots you could get! How about Heinz? Let's have some serious portraits of him.

Three more of Lauryn - amazing how after you've done a bit of cropping and colour adjusting you find really nice ones previously ignored. The light really is so good in Gae's lounge.

Alan and I really enjoyed 'Night and Day" Janet was superb, absolutely fantastic, and she was the lead, it was just wonderful seeing her dance again - and on point too, incredible after 12 years!!
She is very fit, teaches Pilates. I think she and Tracy are the same age.

As I mentioned went to a birthdy party 2 doors away last night - not far to get home!! It was a warm evening so we were outside in her very pretty back garden. She had all kinds of lovely bread - some she had baked herself - cheeses and dips, really nice.
We had missed the Street Party on New Year's Eve - so cross with Alan, he knew about it and then forgot to tell me about it!!!

David spent most of yesterday morning trying to get the camera to connect to the computer - no luck, so I phoned Incredible Connections they said to bring in the camera, laptop and software tommorrow and they will sort it out. I downloaded all these photographs of Lauryn and those of David, then on Thursday when I wanted to download again - it wouldn't!

Love your new pictures on FB this morning, Lauryn look so stylish in her coat and boots!

I'm really too tired to say much now - just got back from a party 2 doors away.

to the other blog, so annoying .. all that work for nothing.

Anyway edited Lauryn's photograhs this afternoon - quite a few you haven't seen.

Hi Marcelle,- no photographs today ... just cannot get the camera to connect to the computer, David has been trying too, no luck so far. He thinks we should delete and reinstall the softwear. The LCD keeps saying busy when connected to computer. The joy of it all!

The photographs with the new lens are fantastic, you must be having such fun.

Tonight Alan and I are going to the Artscape to see Janet Lindup dance in 'Night and Day' choreographed by Robin van Wyk. Its a tribute to Cole Porter and his wonderful music.
Janet plays Linda Porter - his wife, not the lead, but it will be magic seeing her dance again.
let you know tomorrow.
Lots of love xxx

Going through pics of David - not all good exposures, corrected this with Canon's own software
(came with camera) was able to change skin tones which were rather pinkish to a reasonable skin tone. Must experiment more with this software,

The coffee cups all set out and waiting.

Audrey's lounge on Christmas Day with all the presents in front of the Tree, we usually have drinks while opening the gifts, then move into the Dining Room for lunch - coffee back here afterwards.

Very busy background to the left, which I eliminated with PhotoScape and it looks a whole lot better. I'll have to start draping the black sheet, wish I could put it on a stand and just plonk it anywhere I like instead of the draping bit.
I'll think of something ....

We went to the Western Provence Tennis Club -its really WP Cricket Club, including Squash and Hockey, also includes Gym and Swimming. It is in Newlands in beautiful surroundings.
David is very keen to play a lot of challenging tennis while he is here and they will give him International membership for about R800 and a joining fee. One of his old tennis buddies - back in the day - is a member.

Raining today, just softly. About 6.30 on New year's Day there was a loud clap of thunder which woke me with a start. Storm came rushing into the bed room wimpering and tried to hide under the bedside table. she was very scared. It doesn't bother Tequi at all.

I've taken a few shots of David - trying to find the right room with the best light, this was the Trophy Room late afternoon. Must try some outside with the 200mm lens for a blurred background.

Spent a quiet New Year's Eve at home and watched the Royal Variety Show. Lunch with Audrey today.
